Aarón M. Santana Cordero develops his research mainly in historical ecology. He studied Geography at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) (2010) and obtained his PhD in the same University within the Instituto de Oceanografía y Cambio Global (2017). Along these years Aarón has published several papers in ISI journals and has collaborated with other members of his research group in papers and book chapters which are now being considered for publication. Furthermore, Aarón has participated in 3 national projects (funded by the Government of Spain) and has done 3 scientific stays in two universities (Barcelona and Copenhagen) and in one institute of research (Switzerland). Now, Aarón is doing his fourth scientific stay at the Department of Vegetation Ecology (Institute of Botany, Czech Academy of Sciences), during which he will explore historical ecological methods in collaboration with Dr. Péter Szabó (Department of Vegetation Ecology) and with Dr. Matthias Bürgi (Switzerland).
