Having graduated in Landscape Architecture at the Mendel University in Brno, I decided to study botany to focus on plant ecosystems in more detail. In 2013 I graduated in Ecological and Evolutionary Biology and embarked on PhD studies at the Department of Botany and Zoology at the Masaryk University in Brno. Like my colleagues at the Institute, I focus on the long-term vegetation changes. Yet what chiefly draws my attention, are the local processes underlying these changes. I mostly concentrate on the Central European forest vegetation, but also had an opportunity to do research in the eastern U.S. and southeast Asia.
